My advice column What a Catch! will answer relationship questions about your very excellent relationship with someone (friendships, significant others, family members, whomever) who is super important to you and you really want things to work out with them because they’re a really wonderful person and have so many lovely qualities and things could be so great… but there’s a catch. 

We all have catches, for sure. No one is without their flaws, we just need our catches, quirks, and flaws to line up with someone else’s when we are in a relationship with them or there needs to be equal investment from those in the relationship to work together to agree that there’s a problem and then solve it in a collaborative and healthy way. It takes work, and sometimes it’s worth it. Or it might be that your Catch ain’t all that catchy after all and it’s time to take a hard left.
